Jordan M. Jeansonne was born and raised in the greater New Orleans area. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication degree and Business Administration Minor. In 2010, he earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During law school, Jordan was selected to Loyola’s Moot Court program, competing as a brief writer at the John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition, and later coaching the team champion of the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Competition. He also studied abroad at the University of Vienna, and as a 3L was honored as an Order of Barristers Inductee.
Since earning admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 2010, Jordan gained invaluable litigation experience representing insurers in a variety of jurisdictions both statewide and nationally. Before joining Perrier & Lacoste, LLC, he litigated diverse matters ranging from automobile and trucking liability, construction defect, and slip-and-fall personal injury, to first party property damage claims (wind and flood), insurance coverage and bad faith, and white collar criminal defense. He also represented insurance clients in complex civil litigation, including the Louisiana Road Home Litigation post-Hurricane Katrina, and served as first chair trial counsel for NFIP flood insurers in property damage litigation arising from Superstorm Sandy
Jordan now serves corporate and insurance clients in litigation matters involving trucking transportation, wrongful death, personal injury, property damage, and insurance coverage and bad faith. Jordan is licensed and admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He also has practiced via pro hac vice admissions in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York, District of New Jersey and Southern District of Texas.
Active in the local community, Jordan has served on the Louisiana Forum for Equality Foundation board, devotes time to The Pro Bono Project, and also is a member of several legal associations, including the Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Jefferson Bar Association and New Orleans Bar Association. Jordan was also selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for 2019 and 2020.
Jordan and his wife, Annie, reside in New Orleans with their two daughters, Hallie and Marcelle, where they enjoy spending time with family and friends. An avid football fan, Jordan proudly bleeds the Purple & Gold of his alma mater, and fashions himself a fantasy football guru.
