Norman “Skeet” Anseman was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in San Francisco, Denver, and Lafayette, Louisiana. Skeet has been practicing law for over twenty-eight years and opened the Lafayette office of Perrier & Lacoste in May of 2020. Skeet’s practice concentrates on retail and restaurant defense, admiralty and maritime, commercial transportation, casualty litigation, and products liability.

Skeet has extensive practice and trial experience representing restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and offshore and boat companies in courts at the state and federal levels. He has also tried matters before several administrative agencies, including the US Department of Labor, the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, and the Louisiana Workforce Commission. He has authored several appellate briefs, argued before federal and state appellate courts, and has authored a successful certiorari opposition brief before the US Supreme Court. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas.

Skeet has served as lead counsel in several mass marine casualty claims, including representation in the Deepwater Horizon incident. Skeet utilizes his practical litigation experience to advise clients on a variety of energy and offshore contract matters and issues. He works with companies to draft all-encompassing contracts that take full advantage of the company’s risk allocation, including indemnity and insurance protection. He has broad experience analyzing, drafting, and revising master service agreements and onshore and offshore drilling contracts. Additionally, he routinely negotiates and drafts various commercial and financial contracts for local businesses.

Skeet maintains an active seminar and speaking schedule. He is on the adjunct faculty at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he teaches Trial Advocacy. Skeet is an AV peer rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers List for over ten years. In 2019, he was recognized as one of Acadiana Profile Magazine Top Lawyers in the field of Admiralty and Maritime Law. Skeet lives in Lafayette with his wife Vanessa and is the proud father of three boys.

Ralph Aucoin, Jr.’s practice includes personal injury litigation, insurance coverage, first party property coverage, third party disputes, bad faith/extra contractual, civil rights litigation, intellectual property, general civil litigation, contracts, premises liability, products liability, and trucking and transportation defense.  He has argued motions and tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout Louisiana. As an appellate lawyer, Ralph has successfully argued in the Louisiana First, Second and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal and briefed to the Louisiana Supreme Court as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ralph attended Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina where he graduated Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2004.  After receiving his undergraduate degree, he moved back to New Orleans and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 2007.

Ralph is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, 2011 Trial Academy and is a Notary Public. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2007 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Ralph was also selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for 2017.

Ralph resides in New Orleans with his wife Amanda and their two daughters, Ella and Celeste.

Allyson Marie Billeaud was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with the highest honors before going on to attend the University of Minnesota Law School where she graduated with a Juris Doctor and Concentrations in Criminal Justice and Human Rights Law.

In law school, she was Editor-in-Chief of Minnesota Journal of International Law and organized a symposium to celebrate the Journal’s 25th anniversary, with guest speakers invited to speak from around the world to discuss the rule of law. She was also in the Human Rights Clinic, where her team partnered up with other global players to present reasons to the United Nations as to why certain human rights violations in Sri Lanka needed urgent international attention. She and her team also worked with the International Criminal Court to include sex crimes as a crime against humanity, making it an international crime that could be prosecuted at that tribunal. In 2016, she was also published in the Journal of Race, Gender and Poverty for her article, “Why America Retains the Death Penalty: Americans’ Detachment from Their Criminal Justice System.”

Before returning to Louisiana, she was granted a fellowship by the United Nations to work in Tanzania for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. While there, she assisted the Prosecutor in closing the remaining cases being prosecuted for the Rwanda genocide in 1994. The main purpose was to ensure that any other major perpetrators of the genocide by transferred to the local court systems to be tried and to complete sentencing on those who had been tried by the international court.

Ms. Billeaud then returned to her home state of Louisiana and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in May 2017.
Ms. Billeaud initially clerked for Judge Laurie White at the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court before joining Regan Law, PLC, where she practiced criminal defense in the New Orleans area and surrounding parishes, gaining experiencing in trial preparation, litigation, and appellate practice. She then ran her own criminal defense firm for the next several years before deciding to join Perrier Lacoste!

She is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the New Orleans Bar Association. Ms. Billeaud was ranked “Top 10 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorneys” in the nation, ranked “Top 40 Under 40” in Louisiana by the National Trial Lawyers, and was also selected as one of the “10 Best Attorneys” in the state by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.

Ally was born in Lafayette, LA, but currently lives in New Orleans. She has one adorable dog she adores, and her pastimes include painting, pottery, and paddleboarding.

Ralph Breaux has more than twenty-nine years of litigation experience. For several years, he represented one of the largest commercial general contractors located in Louisiana in defense of claims for property damage caused by its construction of large municipal and commercial projects. He has also handled a large number of admiralty and maritime claims, construction defect claims, first and third party homeowner’s claims, CGL claims, and claims involving tractor-trailer accidents and serious injuries. Mr. Breaux’s experience in automobile and personal lines litigation includes litigating bad faith claims arising out of first and third party claims handling and failure to defend claims, as well as other uninsured motorist, automobile, CGL, and homeowners coverage issues. Mr. Breaux has participated in numerous trials in state and federal courts involving serious automobile accidents, as well as commercial and homeowner’s claims, most notably those in which an arson defense was raised.

In connection with Mr. Breaux’s practice over the last twenty-seven years, he has written numerous appellate briefs and applications for supervisory and remedial writs to all Courts of Appeal for Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Breaux has also argued appellate matters before the First, Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal. In addition to Louisiana state courts, Mr. Breaux has been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before joining the Perrier & Lacoste family, Mr. Breaux was a partner in a local insurance defense firm, providing full service representation to insurance and corporate clients in the United States and Europe. In his capacity as a partner, Mr. Breaux managed and counseled a team of litigators located in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. Mr. Breaux is currently a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Bar Association of the Federal Fifth Circuit, the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, and Themis Advocates Group. Mr. Breaux has also received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating with a 5.0/5.0 peer rating and has been selected as a Louisiana Super Lawyer.

Mr. Breaux enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his lovely wife, Gretchen, and five children. Mr. Breaux particularly enjoys traveling to spend weekends with his middle son, who is a Professional Aviation major at Louisiana Tech University, and watching his youngest son, a student at Jesuit High School, at his numerous sporting events as a member of the lacrosse team. Mr. Breaux also spends considerable time volunteering his services on the boards of his church and his children’s schools, as well as on various committees for fundraising events on behalf of numerous local social and charitable organizations. As a result of these efforts, Mr. Breaux and his wife, Gretchen, both received the 2011 Order of St. Louis IX Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, one of the highest and most cherished honors bestowed by the local Church on a member of the laity, in recognition of their dedication and years of volunteer service.

Nicholas J. Chauvin was born in Houma, Louisiana and has been a practicing attorney in Louisiana for twenty two years. During that time he practiced in many of the state’s District and Appellate courts, the Louisiana Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

His experience has been focused in insurance defense and coverage litigation, premises liability, hurricane litigation, general casualty, trucking and transportation litigation, and automobile liability. In particular, Mr. Chauvin has handled bad faith automobile and personal lines cases, including lawsuits involving tractor-trailer accidents resulting in serious injuries. In addition, Mr. Chauvin has experience in litigating bad faith claims arising out of first and third party claims handling and failure to defend claims, as well as other uninsured motorist, automobile, and homeowner’s coverage issues. Mr. Chauvin has participated in numerous trials in state and federal courts involving serious automobile accidents, as well as commercial and homeowner’s claims.

Mr. Chauvin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nicholls State University in 1996 and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, in 2000. While attending Loyola, Mr. Chauvin was a member of the Student Bar Association, the Federalist Society, and the Maritime Law Society. He is currently a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.

Mr. Chauvin enjoys spending time with his family, especially his son, Luke. In particular, he enjoys traveling with his son and taking him to Saint’s games.

Michael S. Danon was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and Westchester County, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Whitman College in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011.

Following graduation, Michael moved to New Orleans, LA, where he sat for the Louisiana bar exam and then served ten years as a prosecutor for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office. As a line prosecutor, screener, and Deputy Chief of Trials, he conducted more than thirty major crime jury trials and mentored the next generation of courtroom advocates and attorneys. He also served in the Appellate Division, where he handled multiple appeals and writs. Michael has argued cases before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court on a wide range of evidentiary, statutory, and constitutional issues.

Prior to joining Perrier & Lacoste, Michael’s civil defense practice focused on general liability, Louisiana bad faith claims, hurricane litigation (Laura, Delta, and Ida), construction defect, labor and employment, and insurance coverage. His extensive investigative experience, trial advocacy, and appellate skills offer corporate clients invaluable insights and strategies to achieve their objectives.

Michael currently resides in New Orleans, where he enjoys spending time with his daughter.

Paul W. Freese was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating high school, he attended Loyola University New Orleans and was a member of Loyola’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. In 2015, he graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in English with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English. Paul received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, in 2021 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where he was a member of the Loyola Law Review and served on the Law Review’s editorial board as a Sub and Cite Editor.

Paul serves as counsel for insurance carriers and corporations in the fields of transportation, personal injury, wrongful death and premises liability. Paul is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel. Paul was also selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for 2024 and 2025.

Paul currently resides in New Orleans with his bug-eyed Boston Terrier, Wingman. He enjoys long-distance running and loves the Saints, LSU, the Yankees, and the Pelicans.

Nathan Gaudet was raised in Houma, Louisiana, and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Political Science and History. He earned his Juris Doctorate/Bachelor of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2006.

Nathan is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi. His practice involves tort and insurance defense, transportation defense, workers’ compensation defense, commercial litigation, healthcare litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He has practiced before the state, federal and workers’ compensation courts of both Louisiana and Mississippi.

Nathan is a member of several legal associations and has maintained Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV peer rating of “Preeminent” every year he has been rated and has been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers. He is also a proud member of the Hogs for the Cause “Hog of Fame.” He is proud to have run every Tchoupitoulas Barathon since 2011 without “incident.”

Nathan and his lovely wife, Elizabeth, reside in Metairie, Louisiana with their three wonderful children.

Brian Gilbert is a native New Orleanian with thirty-three years of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. Brian routinely litigates multi-party, complex matters involving a variety of practice areas including General Liability Defense, Automotive and Common Carrier Defense, Medical and Nursing Malpractice Defense, Construction Litigation, Personal Injury Defense, Insurance Defense and Coverage, Commercial Litigation, Civil Rights Litigation Defense, Governmental Liability Defense, Admiralty and Maritime Litigation, Innkeeper Liability Defense, Merchant Liability Defense, Products Liability Defense, and General Civil Litigation.

Brian graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1991, earned a political science degree from the University of New Orleans in 1988, and graduated from Isidore Newman School in 1982. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and has practiced before numerous state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi (PHV), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the District Courts of Harris County, Texas, and the Tenth Judicial Circuit, Jefferson County, Alabama.

Brian has litigated admiralty and maritime cases in the state and federal courts concerning maritime insurance issues, collisions and allisions, wharfinger and terminal operations, and personal injuries and death of seamen and others on rigs, and on commercial and recreational vessels.

He is also well experienced in medical and nursing malpractice litigation, having successfully represented various state and “qualified” healthcare providers at the medical review panel phase and beyond, including doctors, medical students, nurses, clinics, hospitals, and nursing facilities.

He maintains affiliations with the New Orleans Bar Association, Greater New Orleans Defense Counsel, DRI Medical Malpractice Lawyer Network, Insurance Coverage Network, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and the Construction Lawyer Network.

Brian was born in Okinawa, Japan, and resides in New Orleans. He has two children in grade school. His pastimes include cooking, gardening, and music.

Kristopher M. Gould is a litigator practicing in the areas of personal injury and insurance defense, including first and third party automobile, transportation and trucking, premises liability, insurance coverage, extra contractual and bad faith, subrogation, and workers compensation claims. He has successfully represented clients in jury, bench, and administrative trials and in matters on appeal.

Kris is licensed in Louisiana and North Carolina and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Kris has spoken at various CLEs, including presentations on uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and bad faith set-ups. He attended the Claims Litigation Management Alliance’s Litigation Management Institute in 2017 where he received the designation Certified Litigation Management Professional. Kris has also been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List 2020-2025.

Kris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Broun National Trial Team and North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. He was inducted into the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society in 2010, recognizing academic and personal excellence and service to the School of Law, faculty, and students.

Kris resides in New Orleans with his wife and children.
