Brian Gilbert is a native New Orleanian with thirty-three years of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. Brian routinely litigates multi-party, complex matters involving a variety of practice areas including General Liability Defense, Automotive and Common Carrier Defense, Medical and Nursing Malpractice Defense, Construction Litigation, Personal Injury Defense, Insurance Defense and Coverage, Commercial Litigation, Civil Rights Litigation Defense, Governmental Liability Defense, Admiralty and Maritime Litigation, Innkeeper Liability Defense, Merchant Liability Defense, Products Liability Defense, and General Civil Litigation.

Brian graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1991, earned a political science degree from the University of New Orleans in 1988, and graduated from Isidore Newman School in 1982. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and has practiced before numerous state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi (PHV), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the District Courts of Harris County, Texas, and the Tenth Judicial Circuit, Jefferson County, Alabama.

Brian has litigated admiralty and maritime cases in the state and federal courts concerning maritime insurance issues, collisions and allisions, wharfinger and terminal operations, and personal injuries and death of seamen and others on rigs, and on commercial and recreational vessels.

He is also well experienced in medical and nursing malpractice litigation, having successfully represented various state and “qualified” healthcare providers at the medical review panel phase and beyond, including doctors, medical students, nurses, clinics, hospitals, and nursing facilities.

He maintains affiliations with the New Orleans Bar Association, Greater New Orleans Defense Counsel, DRI Medical Malpractice Lawyer Network, Insurance Coverage Network, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and the Construction Lawyer Network.

Brian was born in Okinawa, Japan, and resides in New Orleans. He has two children in grade school. His pastimes include cooking, gardening, and music.

Kristopher M. Gould is a litigator practicing in the areas of personal injury and insurance defense, including first and third party automobile, transportation and trucking, premises liability, insurance coverage, extra contractual and bad faith, subrogation, and workers compensation claims. He has successfully represented clients in jury, bench, and administrative trials and in matters on appeal.

Kris is licensed in Louisiana and North Carolina and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Kris has spoken at various CLEs, including presentations on uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and bad faith set-ups. He attended the Claims Litigation Management Alliance’s Litigation Management Institute in 2017 where he received the designation Certified Litigation Management Professional. Kris has also been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List 2020-2023.

Kris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Broun National Trial Team and North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. He was inducted into the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society in 2010, recognizing academic and personal excellence and service to the School of Law, faculty, and students.

Kris resides in New Orleans with his wife and children.

Megan B. Jacqmin was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After graduating high school, she attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of the LSU Women’s Soccer Team. Megan moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, in 2010, was a member of the Loyola Law Review, and studied abroad in Vienna and Budapest.

Megan began her legal career representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and premises liability claims. After several years as a plaintiffs’ attorney, she switched course and began representing defendants including insurance companies, businesses and individuals. Prior to joining Perrier & Lacoste, LLC, she gained significant litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Her defense background covers a diverse array of matters including automobile/commercial vehicle, personal injury, professional malpractice, premises liability, intentional torts and civil rights claims.

Megan now serves as counsel for insurance carriers and corporations in the fields of transportation, personal injury, wrongful death and premises liability. She is licensed and admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the Southern District of Texas. She is a member of several legal associations including the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the New Orleans Bar Association and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel.

Megan lives in downtown New Orleans and is an avid fan of the Saints and LSU Tigers, traveling, and her English Mastiff, Hazel. She loves New Orleans and is proud to call it home.

Since earning his admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 2014, James H. Johnson has represented a varied client base in complex litigation matters. He has litigated diverse issues in state and federal courts, including automobile and trucking liability, products liability, construction defects, and wrongful death and personal injury matters. His practice has also focused on insurance coverage and bad faith issues.

James Johnson grew up in Atlanta and moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University, where he graduated with a BA in English. James graduated from Loyola University College of Law in 2014, where he attended the evening law program while also working as a law clerk at a local law firm focused on insurance defense and construction. Prior to law school, James worked in advertising and communications as a writer, researcher, and copy editor, serving a wide variety of clients, including corporations, public entities, and legislators.

James currently represents corporate and insurance clients in litigation matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith claims, trucking and auto matters, and personal injury claims.

James is licensed and admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel.  James has also been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List 2019-2023.

James lives in New Orleans with his wife, Ashley, and their two children. He enjoys supporting the Saints, watching baseball, playing soccer, and reading literature.

Rodney J. Lacoste, Jr. is a native New Orleanian and founding member of Perrier & Lacoste, L.L.C. practicing primarily in transportation law, insurance coverage, appellate practice and procedure, and the defense of personal injury claims in transportation, products liability, and workers’ compensation litigation. Rodney’s experience has focused on representing interstate and local trucking companies, common carriers and their insurers in matters involving catastrophic losses, insurance coverage, and contractual issues. He is a member of numerous trucking and transportation organizations including the Transportation Lawyers Association and the Louisiana Motor Transport Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute.

Since graduating from the Loyola University School of Law in 1989, Rodney has practiced transportation litigation, insurance coverage and defense, products liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation before all levels of state and federal courts. As a trial lawyer, Rodney has served as lead counsel in complex cases involving multi-million dollar catastrophic losses. In addition to his law degree, he also earned an MBA from Loyola University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status).

Rodney is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Foundation, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel (Board of Directors, 2003 – present; President, 2010). Rodney has also been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyer. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Since he began his legal career over twenty years ago, Jean Lavidalie, Jr. has gained extensive experience representing a diverse range of insurance companies, corporations, individuals, trucking companies, and municipalities in civil litigation, governmental and transactional legal matters. The main focus of Jean’s practice has always lied in earning results for clients in a wide variety of simple and complex litigation matters, specifically those arising out of transportation accidents and other personal injury issues, as well as those dealing with homeowner coverage and bad faith questions. Jean has also gained vast experience performing corporate and transactional functions for an array of clients including individuals, large cities and municipalities, and multi-million dollar corporations. He has also argued before Courts of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Jean is a member of both the Louisiana and Georgia State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in many state and federal courts in these jurisdictions. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Jean formerly achieved honors as a student at Guatemala’s premier law school, Universidad Francisco Marroquin. In 1994, he immigrated with his parents to the United States and completed his education at the University of New Orleans and Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans. In 2001, he was proudly sworn in to be a United States citizen.

A devoted family man, Jean delights in living life to the fullest with his beautiful wife and their children. Aside from his family, Jean’s passions lie in being an active church member, amateur historian, and loyal LSU & New Orleans Saints fan.

Bryan Lege was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and graduated from Louisiana State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science and Microbiology. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1999.

Bryan is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas. His practice involves insurance defense, automobile and transportation litigation, admiralty and maritime, merchant liability, commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, premise liability, product liability and worker’s compensation defense. Bryan has extensive experience in analyzing, drafting and revising master service agreements, drilling contracts, construction contracts, and equipment leases. He has practiced before the state and federal courts and appellate courts and both Louisiana and Texas.

Bryan lives in Lafayette, Louisiana with his wife, Cally, and he has the proud father of three.

Sean M. McAllister has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits, including cases involving auto/trucking accidents, maritime law, workers’ compensation disputes, employment law, civil rights violations, premises liability matters, and products liability matters. As a practicing attorney, he has also litigated cases concerning family law, criminal law, and consumer/debtor law.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Sean received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2010 followed by his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2014. He was named to the law school’s Chancellor’s List, participated in various moot court competitions, and contributed time to the Public Law Society. Within three months of becoming licensed to practice law in October 2014, he won his first trial as first chair. He is licensed to practice before all state courts throughout Louisiana and before the federal courts in the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.

Sean has been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2022 and 2023, and was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2021 Edition of “The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch.” He has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating and is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, and the New Orleans Bar Association.

Kalleigh A. McCoy graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies and a minor in Political Science. In 2017, she earned her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Family and Juvenile Law from Mississippi College School of Law. She is licensed to practice before all state courts throughout Mississippi and before the federal courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. Kalleigh is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, and the Women in the Profession Committee of the Mississippi Bar. She has previously served on the Lawyer in Every Classroom Committee for the Mississippi Bar’s Young Lawyers Division.

Kalleigh has experience in commercial transportation, general civil litigation, transportation & automobile litigation, mass tort litigation, product liability, premise liability, and personal injury litigation, as well as risk assessment, contracts, and federal reporting.

Kalleigh resides in Pearl, Mississippi with her dogs and cats.

Kristie Mouney was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and grew up in the New Orleans area. After high school, Kristie graduated from Louisiana State University in 1999. After college, Kristie began a career as an Algebra teacher. After 3 years of teaching, Kristie attended law school and earned a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School in 2005.

Kristie has been practicing law for over 19 years, in which her practice involves insurance coverage litigation, insurance defense, transportation defense, commercial litigation, premises liability, general liability, bad faith litigation and construction litigation. She has practiced before the state and federal courts of Louisiana as well as numerous other federal courts throughout the nation.

Kristie is a member of several legal associations including the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, DRI- The Voice of the Defense Bar, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel and Themis Advocates Group. Kristie enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Clayton, and her two children, Carter and Grace.
