Guy D. Perrier is a native New Orleanian and founding member of Perrier & Lacoste, LLC. Specializing in the defense of national and local companies facing casualty and property claims, as well as general liability, he has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating with a 5.0/5.0 peer rating and has been recognized as one of New Orleans Magazine Top Lawyers. Guy has also been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers List 2009-2023.
Since graduating from Tulane University Law School in 1990, Guy has practiced general liability defense, transportation litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense, products liability and premises liability before all levels of state and federal courts. As a trial lawyer, Guy has successfully litigated complex cases involving multi-million dollar catastrophic losses.

Eric Price is a member of Perrier & Lacoste’s Mississippi office. His office is located in the Jackson, Mississippi metro area.
Eric’s practice involves commercial trucking defense, non-emergency medical transportation, premises liability, appellate advocacy and uninsured motorist disputes.
Eric is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana and Mississippi, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2006 and has been litigating cases since then. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2021.
In 2002, Eric received his Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, from Mississippi State University, majoring in Business Information Systems. In 2006, Eric received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi. While there, he was selected to become a member of Phi Kappa Phi and served on the Mississippi Journal of Space Law. Eric was a semi-finalist in the Steen Reynolds & Dalehite Trial Competition and the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts.
Eric is a member of the Louisiana Bar, Mississippi Bar, New Orleans Bar, Capital Area Bar, and American Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. He previously served on the Publications Committee and Homeless Youth Committee for the Mississippi Bar’s Young Lawyers Division.
Eric was selected as a Mid-South “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers magazine in 2011-2020. Since 2013, he has maintained Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating, AV. In 2019, Eric was given an AV Preeminent Judicial Edition rating, indicating the highest possible rating for legal ability and professional standards by both the Bar and Judiciary. Eric resides with his family in Madison, Mississippi, where is an active member of his church. He enjoy spending time his wife and their three children.
Mike Robertson focuses his practice on civil defense litigation, including commercial transportation, construction law, premises liability, products liability, and the defense of common carriers. He has extensive jury trial experience in both Louisiana and Mississippi, including a defense verdict for a chassis manufacturer, the successful defense of a premises liability claim against a restaurant in the French Quarter, and the successful defense of an alleged drunk driver involved in an accident while driving a company vehicle.
Mike received his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2008, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, a semi-finalist in the annual Mississippi Moot Court Competition, and served as a Pupil in the Charles Clark American Inn of Court. Before law school, Mike attended Mississippi College where he served as President of the Student Government Association and was honored as the Mississippi HEADWAE Student of the Year.
Mike is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Mississippi State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and is a Notary Public. Mike resides in New Orleans with his wife, Sarah, and their son. He enjoys traveling, dining throughout the city, and serving on the Leadership Team at Riverside Church and on the Board of the non-profit organization, NOTEP.
Trent P. Roddy practices tort and insurance litigation in state and federal courts. His primary practice areas include trucking and transportation industry defense, cargo claims, automobile liability, insurance coverage, premises liability, products liability, redhibition, professional liability, construction law and appellate advocacy.

Trent graduated from Louisiana State University in 2001, when he was awarded admission to Phi Beta Kappa. Trent earned his Juris Doctor in 2004 from Tulane University School of Law, where he was Associate Executive Editor of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law and a member of the Dean’s Academic Affairs Committee. He also participated in the Tulane Legislative & Administrative Law Clinic and The Public Law Center.
Trent and his wife Jennifer have three sons.
Patrick R. Schmidt was born and raised in New Orleans. He graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics. In 2017, he earned both his Juris Doctor and Degree in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. During law school, Patrick was a columnist for The Civilian, LSU Law’s student run news publication. He twice won the Race Judicata, the annual 5k race sponsored by the LSU Law Running Club for students and faculty. Patrick also studied abroad at the Jean Moulin University Lyon III, France.
Patrick has experience in insurance subrogation, products liability, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation. After graduating from law school and earning admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 2017, Patrick joined Perrier & Lacoste the same year. He now serves corporate and insurance clients in litigating matters involving transportation, wrongful death, personal injury, product liability, property damage, and insurance coverage.

Cory Stuart was born and raised in the greater New Orleans area. He graduated from Jesuit High School and then attended Louisiana State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Sciences in Marketing in 2004. After directing operations for a national college athletics organization for several years, Cory attended law school and earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010. While attending Loyola, Cory was a member of the Maritime Law Journal, which published his Comment regarding the legal and practical dynamics involved with complex shipwreck salvage.
After graduating from law school and earning admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 2010, Cory gained extensive experience litigating insurance disputes from both a defense and coverage perspective. He has advised both domestic and international clients in diverse matters involving a multitude of admiralty and maritime issues, marine and non-marine personal injury defense, domestic and commercial property damage disputes, environmental and regulatory matters, and general casualty issues. Cory has also litigated a broad spectrum of first and third-party insurance coverage matters. He has assisted his clients in obtaining many favorable outcomes, both in the context of alternative dispute resolution and at trial, including in multi-million dollar personal injury and general casualty claims.

Cory and his wife, Courtney, reside in Metairie, where they love spending time with their three sons – Owen, Elliott, and Jack. He is an avid sports fan and semi-dedicated coach, particularly in basketball, tennis, soccer, and golf. Charles C. Wimberly III (Trey) is a Member of Perrier & Lacoste’s Mississippi office. Trey concentrates his practice in the fields of trucking and transportation casualty litigation, pest control litigation, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, and commercial general liability claims and coverage issues.
Trey attended Louisiana State University where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2000. As an undergrad, Trey was awarded a full academic scholarship and was on the Dean’s List. Trey earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2003. While at Alabama, he served as a Senior Editor for the Alabama Law Review.
Trey is currently in his twentieth year of practice and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi and Alabama, and is an active member of the Harrison County Bar Association. He has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating with a 4.7/5.0 peer rating and has been selected as a Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star from 2010-2018.
Trey resides in Gulfport, Mississippi and is a parishioner of Nativity BVM Catholic Church.
Scott Winstead is a litigator with extensive experience in insurance defense and complex litigation. A native of Mobile, Alabama, he graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following his service as a Naval Officer, where he specialized in Logistics, Scott earned a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans, where he was a William J. Crowe Scholar.
Scott’s practice focuses on defense of international insurers and their insureds in a range of matters, including casualty, commercial litigation, and construction defect cases. He also represents interstate trucking companies in casualty and workers’ compensation litigation. Admitted to practice in Louisiana and Alabama, he is also admitted to appear before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
