Nathan Gaudet was raised in Houma, Louisiana, and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Political Science and History. He earned his Juris Doctorate/Bachelor of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2006. Throughout his education, Nathan received many academic awards and scholarships including the 1540 Society Leadership Award for Outstanding Achievement, Alpha Delta Gamma New Member of the Year Award, Loyola University Greek Alumni Association Scholarship, United States 5th Circuit Award for Clerk Recognition and Service, and the 2005 Terrebonne Parish Bar Association Annual Endowment Scholarship.

While in law school, Nathan volunteered with LSU’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. With VITA, he assisted in preparing free federal and Louisiana state tax income returns for foreign students, teachers, and researchers and their immediate family members. He also volunteered with the LSU program Students Helping Others.

Nathan is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi. His practice involves tort and insurance defense, transportation defense, workers’ compensation defense, commercial litigation, healthcare litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He has practiced before the state, federal and workers’ compensation courts of both Louisiana and Mississippi.

Nathan is a member of several legal associations including the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, Loyola Young Alumni Committee, LSU Law Young Alumni Leadership Council and the Mississippi State Bar Association. In 2017, he received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating with a 4.8/5.0 peer rating. He is also in the Hogs for the Cause “Hog of Fame.” Look it up.

Nathan and his lovely wife, Elizabeth, reside in Metairie, Louisiana with their three children, Maxwell, Kate, and Elle. Due to their age, his social life is that of his children. While he does not have “free time,” Nathan tries to cram in some physical activity, especially running and riding his bike as much as possible.
