Scott Winstead is a litigator with extensive experience in insurance defense and complex litigation. A native of Mobile, Alabama, he graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following his service as a Naval Officer, where he specialized in Logistics, Scott earned a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans, where he was a William J. Crowe Scholar.
Scott’s practice focuses on defense of international insurers and their insureds in a range of matters, including casualty, commercial litigation, and construction defect cases. He also represents interstate trucking companies in casualty and workers’ compensation litigation. Admitted to practice in Louisiana and Alabama, he is also admitted to appear before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
